Manager Manifesto
Challenge: Write and design the guide for all Nike managers
Solution: A book sent to over 6,000 managers, translated into 25 languages

I was initially hired as the copywriter, but ultimately also served as the creative director due to my previous Nike experience and the need to align this project (driven by HR leaders) with previous core brand work (driven by design/brand leaders). Working with a freelance designer I guided the size/shape of the booklet (to match Nike’s Maxim booklet), curating better imagery for optimal evergreen usage, and also socializing the project with Brand and Design leaders to ensure overall organizational buy-in and authenticity.

Challenge: Create aligned messaging for Global Brand Operations internal app
Solution: Streamlining and editing pre-existing content, leading a group work session to ensure alignment
This project entailed collating, verifying, and streamlining copy provided by 30+ authors (not all writers by trade) into a one, digital, app-friendly body of work. In addition to copywriting and editing, this job entailed leading a group work session to justify discrepancies/confusion about terminology and policies.
Advanced Manufacturing
Challenge: Improve internal presentation tools and skills
Solution: A divisional visual center and team presentation training
A division of engineers needed help presenting internally more effectively to their peers in brand, creative, and product divisions. In a corporate culture where presentation skills were key drivers of success, the future of Nike’s modernized manufacturing systems depended on this team’s ability to inform and align their colleagues with critical new systems/protocols.
Virtual Tour App
Challenge: Learning Document for the Nike Executive Team (NET)
Solution: A living digital tool for NET as well as broad organizational learning and collaboration.
They wanted a PPT deck for Nike executive leadership team (NET). But based on previous work together I understood they also needed to continually communicate with many others across Nike’s complex organizational matrix, with varying levels of security access. I suggested building an internal app to meet their broader audience needs and also ensure an evergreen/living information source. While this represented a larger investment initially, it saved them money and time over the long term. They loved the idea, and I led that effort.
Maxim Awards
Challenge: An opening voiceover script for Nike’s Global Maxim Awards live show.
Solution: An “exceptional” inspirational V.O. piece that received high praise by the CEO and other leaders.
